Delete your Squadd account
Last updated: 19 April 2026
You can permanently delete your Squadd account and all associated data at any time. This page explains how, what gets deleted, and how to request deletion if you can no longer access the app.
1. Delete from inside the app (recommended)
- Open the Squadd app on your iPhone or Android device
- Tap the Settings tab
- Scroll down to the Account section
- Tap Delete my account
- Read the warning, confirm twice
Deletion is immediate. You'll be signed out and your data is removed within minutes.
2. Request deletion by email
If you can't access the app — for example you've uninstalled it, lost your phone, or forgotten your password — email us and we'll process the deletion for you.
Email: hello@squadd.co.uk
Use the subject line "Account deletion request" and include the email address you signed up with. We'll verify it's really you, delete your data, and confirm by reply within 7 days.
3. What gets deleted
When you delete your account we permanently remove:
- Your profile (name, email, profile photo, push tokens)
- Any teams you created and the teams' associated data (players, fixtures, training, lineups, match events, photos, chat messages, newsfeed posts, payment records)
- Your team memberships (you'll be removed from any teams you were a coach or parent of)
- Your availability responses, MOTM votes, poll votes, and reactions
- Any invite tokens and beta-code redemptions tied to you
- Any content reports you filed
4. What's kept (and why)
- Anonymised mentions in other team members' content. If another coach published a match report saying "Alex scored two goals", we don't rewrite history. Your name is replaced with "[Deleted User]" wherever it remained on others' team activity.
- Aggregated analytics. Counts and totals (e.g. "12 teams created in April") that contain no personal data.
- Backups. Database backups are retained for 30 days for disaster recovery, then permanently deleted. Your data is purged from those backups within 30 days of your deletion request.
- Payment records (where required by law). If you paid for a Squadd subscription, transaction records are retained for the period required by UK tax law (currently 6 years). These contain only the transaction amount, date, and a billing reference — not your name or email.
