Managing Your Squadd Subscription


Overview

Squadd offers a 4-week free trial when you create a new team. After the trial, a Pro subscription keeps all features active. This article explains the plans available, how to subscribe, and how to manage your subscription.


The Free Trial

Every new team gets a 4-week free trial with full Pro access. The trial period remaining is shown on the subscription screen and in Settings.

When the trial ends, your team moves to the free tier. You can subscribe at any time during or after the trial to continue without interruption.

Both plans include identical Pro features. Annual renews once per year; monthly renews every month.

Subscribing

  1. Go to Settings → Upgrade to Pro (or tap any Pro-gated feature)
  2. Select Monthly or Annual
  3. Tap Subscribe
  4. Complete the in-app purchase through the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android)

Subscription activates immediately. You'll see a "Welcome to Pro" confirmation and all Pro features unlock straight away.

Restoring a Purchase

If you reinstalled the app or switched devices and your Pro features aren't showing:

  1. Go to Settings → Upgrade to Pro
  2. Tap Restore purchases

This re-checks your App Store or Play Store account and restores your active subscription.


Cancelling

Subscriptions are managed through your App Store or Google Play account — not through Squadd directly.

iPhone: Settings app → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Squadd → Cancel
Android: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Squadd → Cancel

After cancellation, Pro features remain active until the end of the current billing period. Your team then reverts to the free tier; no data is deleted.


Frequently Asked Questions

Can I switch from monthly to annual?
Yes — cancel the monthly plan and subscribe to the annual plan. Pro access continues until the end of your current monthly period, then the annual plan starts.

What happens to my data if I don't renew?
All your fixtures, players, and match history are preserved. You retain read access to past data. Features that require Pro (live match, lineup builder, etc.) become unavailable until you resubscribe.

Does each team need its own subscription?
Yes — each Squadd team has its own subscription. If you coach multiple teams, each needs Pro activated separately.

I'm a coach, not the admin — can I subscribe?
Only Team Admins can manage the subscription. If you're a coach, ask your team admin to subscribe.

Is there a refund policy?
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their store policies. Contact them directly for refund requests.

Can parents pay for the subscription on behalf of the team?
Only Team Admins can access the subscription screen. If a parent is covering the cost, the admin would need to make the purchase.
