What Does "Subs" Mean in Squadd?
"Subs" appears in two completely different places in Squadd and means something different in each context.
Subs = Substitutions (during a match)
In the lineup builder and live match screen, "subs" refers to player substitutions — the act of swapping a player on the pitch for one on the bench.
You'll see this as:
- The Sub Rotations section on the lineup screen — the planned schedule of who comes on and off at each minute
- The ⇄ swap button during a live match — tap to perform a fair-play substitution
- The + Event → Substitution option when recording a live match event

Subs = Subscriptions (payment tracking)
In the Payments section and the Subs & payments module, "subs" refers to subscription fees — the regular payments parents make to the club (weekly, monthly, or per season).
You'll see this as:
- The Subs & payments toggle in Optional modules
- The Subs configuration screen in Settings — where you set the monthly amount and billing day
- The Payments tab — where you track which players have paid their subs each month
This has nothing to do with player substitutions. It's purely financial record-keeping.
