What Does "Unofficial" Mean on the Stats Screen?

The Short Answer

The "Unofficial" label on the Stats screen means the data comes from what you've recorded in Squadd — not from any external league or association system. Squadd stats are accurate for your own team management purposes but shouldn't be used as official records.

Why It's There

Squadd is not connected to any football association's database (the FA, FAW, SFA, IFA, or any league management platform). Goals, assists, minutes, and results are recorded by coaches during matches using Squadd's live match tracker.

This means:

  • If a coach forgets to record a goal, it won't appear in Squadd's stats
  • If a goal was recorded incorrectly, it may differ from the official league record
  • Results shown in Squadd may not match what the league table shows

The "Unofficial" label is there so parents understand the stats are a coaching tool — not a replacement for official league tables or association records.

What the Stats Are Good For

Despite being unofficial, Squadd stats are extremely useful for:

  • Tracking individual player development over a season
  • Ensuring fair playing time distribution
  • Recognising goal scorers and top performers
  • Monitoring training attendance
  • Comparing your team's record across different time periods

For FAW Teams — COMET

If your team plays in Wales and is registered with the FAW, match results and team sheets must be submitted separately via COMET — the FAW's official match reporting system. Squadd can send you reminders to do this (see COMET Reminders), but it does not submit data to COMET on your behalf.
