Managing Your Team Members
Overview
The Members screen shows everyone who has joined your Squadd team and lets you change their role or remove them. Only Team Admins can manage members.
Viewing Members
- Go to Settings
- Tap Members
Each member is listed with their name, role badge, and a You label on your own account.
💡 Email addresses are only visible to admins. Other team members (coaches, parents) see a member's name but not their email.
Changing a Member's Role
Tap a member's role badge to open the role picker. Choose from:
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Parent | View fixtures, respond to availability for linked children, read the feed, vote in polls, claim volunteer tasks |
| Coach | Everything a parent can do, plus: create and edit fixtures, manage players, run live matches, record stats |
| Admin | Everything a coach can do, plus: manage team settings, billing, invite admins, remove members |
The change takes effect immediately — the member's permissions update the next time they open the app.
⚠️ Promote carefully. Admins can delete fixtures, change subscription details, and remove other members. Only grant admin access to people you fully trust.
Removing a Member
Tap the 🗑 trash icon next to any member to remove them from the team. Confirm when prompted.
Removing a member:
- Revokes their access to the team immediately
- Does not delete their historical availability responses or player links
- Does not affect any players they are linked to as guardians — the guardian link stays in place
You cannot remove yourself from the team. If you need to transfer ownership or leave, contact support@squadd.co.uk.
Frequently Asked Questions
A parent needs to be a coach — can I change their role without them doing anything?
Yes — tap their role badge, select Coach, and it changes immediately. They don't need to rejoin.
I removed a member by mistake — can I add them back?
Yes. Generate a new invite link and share it with them. They'll rejoin as the role the invite was for.
Can I see when a member last opened the app?
Not currently — there's no last-active indicator on the Members screen.
Why can't I remove myself?
You need at least one admin on the team at all times. To leave the team, first promote another member to admin, then contact support to have your account unlinked.
A parent left the club — should I remove them or just let them stay?
Best practice is to remove them so they lose access to the squad list, fixtures, and chat. Their historical availability responses and any player data stay intact.
