Prerequisite: Photo Gallery module must be enabled — see Optional Modules Overview

Overview

The Photo Gallery module adds a photo section to every fixture and match day. Coaches and parents can upload match-day photos that are visible only to your team — no public sharing, no social media, just your squad.

  1. Go to Settings → Optional modules
  2. Toggle Photo gallery on

A photo section will appear at the bottom of every fixture and match day detail screen immediately.

Uploading a Photo

Anyone in the team — coaches and parents — can upload photos.

  1. Open a fixture or match day detail screen
  2. Scroll to the Photos section
  3. Tap + Add photo
  4. Select a photo from your camera roll

The photo uploads immediately and appears in the gallery for the whole team to see.

💡 Photos are stored at full quality (0.85 compression). There's no automatic resizing beyond what the image picker applies. Keep file sizes reasonable — very large RAW photos may take a moment to upload on a mobile connection.

Viewing Photos

Photos appear as a horizontal scrolling strip on the fixture or match day detail screen. Each photo shows the uploader's name and the upload date.

Tap any photo to view it full-screen.

Photos are visible to all team members (coaches and parents). They are private to the team — no one outside your Squadd team can view them.

Deleting a Photo

  • Your own photos: Tap the photo full-screen and tap Delete. You can delete any photo you uploaded.
  • Any team photo: Team Admins can delete any photo regardless of who uploaded it.
  • Other people's photos: Coaches (non-admin) and parents cannot delete photos uploaded by others. Contact your team admin if a photo needs removing.

Photos are always attached to a specific fixture or match day — there is no team-wide photo gallery view. To find photos from a particular match, open that fixture or match day detail.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can parents see photos from all fixtures, or only their child's matches?
All team members can see photos from all fixtures and match days — there's no per-player filtering on the gallery.

Is there a limit on how many photos can be uploaded per fixture?
No hard limit. Upload as many as you like.

Can I add a caption to a photo?
Not currently — captions are planned but not yet available in the app.

I can't see the Photos section on a fixture — why?
The Photo Gallery module may not be enabled for your team. Ask your team admin to check Settings → Optional modules.

Are photos backed up anywhere?
Photos are stored securely in Squadd's cloud storage. They are not backed up to your device's camera roll automatically.

Can photos be shared externally from within the app?
Not currently. You can download a photo to your device and share it via your usual methods, but there's no in-app share button.
