Leaving a Team
Overview
If you no longer need to be part of a team — your child has moved clubs, the season's over, or you joined by mistake — you can leave it yourself from Settings. Leaving is per team: if you belong to more than one team, leaving one has no effect on the others.
How to Leave a Team
- Make sure the team you want to leave is your active team — use Settings → Switch Team if you're currently viewing a different one
- Go to Settings
- Under Teams & members, tap Leave [team name]
- Read the confirmation and tap Leave team
You'll be switched to your next team automatically. If it was your only team, you'll land back on the create/join screen.
What Happens When You Leave
- You leave that team only — any other teams you belong to aren't affected
- You stop receiving that team's notifications
- You lose access to its feed, fixtures, training, chat and payments
- Any children linked to you on that team stay in the squad — only your link to them is removed, so their playing history is untouched
- You can rejoin at any time with an invite code from the coach
💡 Parent at two clubs? Leaving one team removes you and your child links from that team only. Your child's record and your access on the other team carry on exactly as before.
If You're the Only Team Admin
A team must always have at least one admin, so you can't leave while you're the only one. You'll see a message asking you to either:
- Promote another member to Team Admin first — see Managing Your Team Members, then leave, or
- Delete the team instead, if it's genuinely finished with
