Man of the Match
Overview
The Man of the Match module lets the coach pick a standout player on the match report. MOTM awards accumulate over the season and appear as a column on the Stats tab. It's on by default.
Selecting Man of the Match
MOTM is selected on the match report screen, before or after publishing.
- Open the fixture → Match Report
- Scroll to the Man of the Match section
- Tap to open the player picker — all squad players are listed
- Select the player and save the report
The MOTM is included in the match summary post when you publish to the feed.
MOTM in Season Stats
Each MOTM selection adds 1 to that player's ⭐ count on the Stats tab. The count is visible to parents when stats are shared with them.
Turning MOTM Off
If you coach younger players (U7 and below) where singling out individuals isn't appropriate:
- Go to Settings → Optional modules
- Toggle Man of the Match off
The picker disappears from the match report. Existing MOTM data from past matches is preserved and reappears if you re-enable the module.
MOTM vs Parents' Player of the Match
These are two separate awards:

Both awards can be enabled simultaneously and appear independently on the match report and stats.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I change the MOTM after publishing the report?
Yes — edit the match report, change the MOTM selection, and tap Update & repost. The feed post updates to reflect the new selection.
Can more than one player win MOTM for the same match?
No — only one player can be selected per match.
Can parents see who won MOTM?
Yes — MOTM is included in the match summary post on the feed, and in the ⭐ column on the Stats tab when stats are shared with parents.
